About us
Chabad of Burbank and BJP seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child. We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents. Our goal is to provide children with the early foundation and framework to prepare them for the transition to elementary school, and from elementary school into middle school, and from middle school into high school. In addition, we seek to ignite the G-dly spark in each child and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning, which will enable them to permeate the world with goodness and kindness.
Judaism underscores the uniqueness of every child with the axiom "chanoch l'naar al pi darko," teaching us to train children according to their individual paths. We recognize that each child or teen, has his or her unique needs, interests and passions. The youth that attend Chabad are viewed as collaborators: they are competent, curious, inquisitive, unique, and creative.
Our programs foster children's intellectual development as they are encouraged to explore their environment and express themselves through words, movement, drawing, painting, team building and other natural modes of expression. Our multi-faceted activities expose children to a wide range of experiences, including art, creative writing and reading skills (both in hebrew and english), and these are all integrated into our hands-on learning, which promotes an environment where children develop the critical thinking and problem solving skills for a successful and meaningful life. The field trips we take in camp and activities throughout the year, all incorporate one central theme; that we believe in our children and THEY ARE THE FUTURE!!!
